From fisherman to follower, Peter’s life took some wild, adventurous turns. As a fisherman, he had it pretty good. Enough to feed his family, while enjoying the great outdoors.
But then Peter met Jesus—and it flipped his life upside down.
From the start, Jesus had big plans for Peter and his faith. Jesus gave him the name Peter, which means “rock,” and told him: “Follow me, and I will make you fish for men.” Instead of fish, Peter would learn to seek out people and teach them to follow Jesus!
And Peter did! He gave up everything to follow Jesus, the man he knew to be the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Peter was so strong and stubborn that he often messed up—but Jesus forgave him every time. It gave Peter the courage to keep going, no matter. After Jesus died and returned to life, Peter even became one of the most influential leaders of the early church.
We’re still talking about Peter and reading his writings today. And just like Peter, the “rock,” we can trust that Jesus will always be there for us. No matter what we face, we can keep going, because we have a Savior who loves us unconditionally.
Let’s ROCK ON this summer, and share Jesus with the world!

We know that you’ve been monitoring the day-to-day situation with COVID-19, just as we have. Safety is our first concern for Camp KidJam and we’re committed to the well-being of the kids and leaders and staff who show up for the Best Week Ever of the summer. In light of that and in hearing from so many of you about your specific situations, we have made the decision to cancel our Summer Camps.

The Camp KidJam team is so disappointed that we all won’t be able to be together this summer, but truly feel that it’s in the best interest of making sure we’re doing everything we can to protect you, your leaders and your campers.

We’re creating some surprises for kids and leaders which you’ll be able to send them throughout the summer, so even though we can’t be present in person, we can still serve you from afar.

Thank you for what you’re doing for the kids and families in your community. Thank you for continuing to pour into your church staff and volunteers to love on them. Know that our team is praying for you as you navigate the current “new normal” and what’s to come.

And we can’t wait to see you next summer for Camp KidJam 2021!!
